The Bourget Train Station is being brought back to life as a vibrant gathering place for our community. This carefully restored heritage building will blend its historic charm with modern purpose—featuring a cozy café, bike rentals and repairs, flexible office spaces, and a welcoming venue for events and celebrations.
Perfectly situated on the Ottawa–Montréal bike trail and connected to winter snowmobile routes, the station will be a natural stop for locals and visitors alike. A place to meet, work, relax, and reconnect—rooted in Bourget's past and built for its future.
Your station. Your community.
The Project
Built in 1893, the Bourget Train Station has always been more than a building — it's been the heart of this community. After decades of sitting quiet, we're bringing it back.
This carefully restored heritage building will blend its historic charm with modern purpose: a cozy café, bike rentals and repairs, flexible co-working spaces, and a welcoming venue for events and celebrations.
The station sits on the 77km Prescott-Russell Recreational Trail — now connected to the Trans Canada Trail — and will serve as the trail's first major destination facility.
What's Coming
From morning coffee to all-day work sessions, trail rides to community celebrations — the station will have something for everyone, every season.
A cozy stop for coffee, snacks, and cold treats. The perfect place to start or end a day on the trail.
Rent a bike, get a tune-up, or charge your e-bike before heading out on the Prescott-Russell Trail.
Skip the commute. Four flexible office spaces available for locals who want to work close to home.
A unique heritage venue for community gatherings, private celebrations, and special events.
Historical artifacts, exhibits, and interpretive signage celebrating the station's 130-year story.
Picnic areas, a playground, and welcoming access points designed for the whole family.
The Location
The Bourget Train Station sits directly on the Prescott-Russell Recreational Trail — a 77-kilometre corridor now connected to the Trans Canada Trail, used by approximately 120,000 people every year. Whether you're cycling in summer or snowmobiling in winter, this is your stop.

Our History
From railway hub to beloved landmark — the Bourget Train Station has been woven into the fabric of this community for more than a century.
Built as part of the Canadian Pacific Railway line between Ottawa and Montréal, the station quickly became the community's heartbeat — the primary departure point for travellers and the main hub for regional commerce.
Canadian Pacific Railway ended service on the line. The station fell quiet but remained standing — cared for by station master Maurice Robillard and his family.
Following the passing of Maurice Robillard, his family entrusted the building to the City of Clarence-Rockland — ensuring it would remain part of the community it had always served.
Construction is underway. The Bourget Train Station is coming back to life — and it's going to be worth the wait.
Our Partners
This project is made possible through a unique public-private partnership — proof that when a community comes together, great things happen.
